WAREHOUSE ARTISTS
STUDIOS
The Warehouse Artists
aim to provide a place and environment where art of quality can be
made, and to ensure that our art can be enjoyed by a wide range of
people throughout Norfolk and the region. At our Norwich studio complex
we maintain a vibrant community of visual artists committed to promoting
the practice and appreciation of contemporary art.
Established in 1990 by a group of eight graduates from Norwich Art School,
the Warehouse Artists Studios is now East Anglia's largest studio complex,
housing some thirty artists and with more than twenty Associate members to
whom we offer a wide range of benefits. The Studios provide facilities for
sculptors, painters, printmakers, ceramicists, designers and photographers.
We have a Darkroom, a Kiln and an all-purpose Flexi-space.

The Warehouse Artists
individually make a valuable contribution to the cultural life of the
region. We exhibit widely, at home and abroad, while many of us also
work with community groups, in museums, hospitals and schools. Members
have received public art commissions, run projects and workshops, give
talks and demonstrations, and collaborate with other artists and groups.
We participate annually in the Norfolk Open Studios scheme and weekly
drawing classes are held at the Studios, organised by an Associate member.
We have a number of
group shows and exchange exhibitions with other galleries planned
for the near future.
We are very grateful for the support of Norwich City Council and Norfolk County
Council. |
